December 2021

Published by The Kahlers on

Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church, our Missions, and full-time workers. We trust that you all had a great Christmas, and we pray for God’s richest blessings upon you and your families in this new year.

We are thankful that God continues to work even with the rapid rise of COVID. Souls are being saved and decisions are being made for baptism.

Christmas Celebration

The Lord permitted us to have our Christmas party for the staff, their families, and our Bible Institute students on December 14th. We are thankful for the people that gave gifts and funds to make this possible. May God reward you greatly for your love for others. There was special music, testimonies and a message by Pastor Fermin Jimenez Cruz, pastor of Bible Baptist Church in San Juanito, Chihuahua.

We held our Christmas program on the 19th. Each Sunday School class gave a presentation to celebrate the birth of Christ. Pastor Jose Martinez brought the message, and two ladies were saved.

Year-End Service

Our year-end service was held at the Grand Vision Baptist Church on December 26th. People shared their testimonies of gratitude and decisions were made to serve the Lord in this new year. An elderly man that we have been praying for several years was saved.

Natahuachi Mission Update

The mission in Natahuachi had to suspend their services in December because of illness. There were about 10 children and young people sick with an outbreak of measles and others were out sick with COVID. Pray that they will be able to continue with their regular service schedule soon.

La Junta Mission Update

God blessed the mission in La Junta, and He blessed their Christmas program as well. The people continue to visit three nearby villages. Three children were saved in December.

We have an urgent prayer need for Missionary Bonifacio Gonzalez. His cancer has spread to his lungs and spine. Pray that God will supply the necessary funds for his medical attention.

Special Thank You

A very special thank you to all of those who contributed to our special Christmas. We are grateful for your contributions and support.

Prayer Requests

We are thankful for God’s protection and His blessings upon us during these challenging and uncertain times. There are still many people to be reached with the Gospel, so we persevere in His name. The following is a list of our current prayer requests:

  • Pray for those sick with COVID and other illnesses in Grand Vision Baptist Church and our missions.
  • Pray for the salvaltion of souls and for discipleship classes for those that have been saved.
  • Pray for the Bible Institute Students and for those in our Christian school. The high school students are scheduled to return in February but we are unsure if they will be able to do so given the Covid sitiuation.

We are deeply grateful to all of you that have stood behind us with your prayers and faithful support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.

Sincerely in Him,

Mrs. Joan Kahler
