October 2021

Published by The Kahlers on

Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church, our pastors, and full-time workers in Bocoyna, Chihuahua, Mexico. The Following is the report from our churches and missions along with our prayer needs for October.

Church Update

We are thankful for God’s blessings received during the month of October. Six people were saved and three were baptized. Attendance has been good and there were several first-time visitors. There are still some people that have been absent since the pandemic began. Pray that God will touch their hearts and that they will return and be faithful.

Missions Update

Our missions continue to go forward. Pray that as the seed is sown in hearts it will bring forth much fruit.

Panalachi Church Update

Missionary Mario Zavala writes that they are thankful to God for the enormous blessing that He has bestowed upon them since the organization of the mission into a church body. They are thankful for every pastor and person that attended, and he wants to thank all that have prayed and contributed financially so that a Fundamental Independent Baptist Church could be established in this Tarahumara community. You have much fruit in the Panalachi Baptist Church. Pray for Ana, daughter of Pastor Mario, that is beginning a Teachers’ Training Course to train people to teach Sunday School classes. Their special prayer request this month is for God to supply the funds to buy a van to bring people in from far away communities.

Prayer Requests

We are thankful for God’s protection and His blessings upon us during these challenging and uncertain times. There are still many people to be reached with the Gospel, so we persevere in His name. The following is a list of our current prayer requests:

  • THANK YOU for praying for my health. I am thankful that my last tests have been favorable. Please keep me in your prayers.
  • Pray for the discipleship classes in the GVBC and its missions.
  • Pray especially for Missionary Bonifacio Gonzalez, in Kipor, Sonora. Some time ago he had a bad fall and
injured both feet from which he hasn’t fully recovered. He now has other serious health problems.
  • Pray for the the pastors and their congregations here in Mexico. That God will protect them from organized crime and from COVID.

We are deeply grateful to all of you that have stood behind us with your prayers and faithful support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.

Sincerely in Him,

Mrs. Joan Kahler
Missionary to Mexico
