June 2018

Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its missions. We deeply appreciate your faithful prayers and financial support that make it possible for us to be able to take the Gospel to the people of Mexico. Six souls were saved and ten (one man, Ricardo, and nine students from our Christian School) were baptized during the month of June.

We held a special Father’s Day service in June. We had 24 fathers present, many were first-time visitors. Each father was presented with a small gift and refreshments after the service.

Ten graduated from our high school and eleven from our middle school. We presented awards to them in three categories: spiritual life, academic studies and physical education.

Ten fathers were present for their Father’s Day service. Most of them are saved, some have been baptized. Pray that the rest will find the Lord. Also pray for continued Bible Studies in Okorochi, a two-hour trip one way by truck. Souls are being saved there. Missionary Mario and his wife, Angelica, make a trip there once a month. They are in need of gasoline for the trips. Pray that God will supply the funds for this need.

Brother Eliezer reports that God is transforming lives, families and communities in and around Natahuachi. He recently visited the people of the community of “Del Salto”, about an hour and a half walk from Natahuachi, to give them God’s Plan of Salvation. Mrs. Irma Rascon accepted Christ during one of the trips. Pray for her and for this community as Brother Eliezer continues visiting there. Work continues on the church building; the floor is poured, and the windows installed. Please pray for the communities around Natahuachi and for materials for the construction of a classroom and a restroom facility.

Missionary Bonifacio reports that God is blessing these missions, souls are being saved and Christians are growing spiritually. Continue to pray for Brother Bonifacio, that the operations on his legs will completely heal.

The mission continues in La Junta. Pray especially for them. They are going through some difficulties at this time.

We are in need of extra funds to maintain our buses. Many people have been saved as a result of our bus ministry. All three buses are aging quickly and are in dire need of up-keep. Pray that God will supply funds for this very urgent need.

The following is a list of our current prayer requests:

  • Pray that young people attending our annual Youth Camp will surrender their lives to Serve the Lord.
  • Pray for the enrollment of children in our Christian Schools in August and the Bible Institute in September. That the Lord will guide them.
  • Pray for Carlos and Belen Madrigal, Missionaries going to Japan, that God will provide for their support, visas, etc. At this time they are on deputation here in Mexico.

We deeply appreciate your faithful prayers and financial support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.

Sincerely in Him,

Mrs. Joan Kahler
Missionary to Mexico
