The Lord has blessed us with wonderful, dedicated people to serve Him in many capacities. We could not do what we have done without their faith and dedication to further God’s word. Many of them are graduates of our Christian Schools and some have graduated from our Bible Institute. A few of them have gone on to start new missions in the area. All of them are dedicated to further God’s Word among the indigenous tribes in the region. The following are testimonies from those that have chosen the righteous path.
Mrs. Joan Kahler
“My husband, Louis, and I came to Mexico in 1961 as Missionaries. We have been in Bocoyna, Chihuahua for the past 30 years. We are working with the Tarahumara Indian tribe and other tribes of the region. My husband went to be with the Lord in March 2011. I have remained here, working with Grand Vision Baptist Church and its workers.
The Grand Vision Baptist Church and its Christian Schools were started in 1988 (elementary, middle and high school). The school was comprised mostly of Tarahumara students. We also started five missions from the Grand Vision Baptist Church pastored by graduates from our Bible Institute. We are thankful for all the souls that have been saved and baptized. We are also thankful for all who have surrendered their lives to serve the Lord over all these years. From our Christian Schools, over 10,000 students, mostly from the mountain areas have come to study here, and many have accepted Christ as their Savior.
“A Dios demos Gloria”. (To God Be The Glory!)”

His blessings have been abundant! At present Grand Vision Baptist Church has 5 missions. Two more have been organized into local Independent Baptist Churches. Our average attendance in Sunday School is 125 plus our Christian School children. “

I currently serve as the Director of our Christian Schools where I teach various classes. I am also a professor in the Bible Institute. My wife, Jackie, also works in the church and teaches in both schools. We have two boys, Adrian and Santiago.”
Missionary Mario Zavala
“My wife Angelica and I have been serving the Lord for many years. We have raised our children, Isaias, Brisa, Ana Ester, Abi and Emanuel in a Christian home. God has called us to take the Gospel to the Tarahumara tribe. We have been serving as Missionaries to the Tarahuamara Indians based out of Panalachi, Chihuahua since 2012. We are located about a one hour drive through the mountains in Northwest Mexico.
We moved to Panalachi after graduating from the Bible Institute in Bocoyna. We began visiting the people, Teaching them God’s Word in our home, and visiting the farming communities around us. We have purchased property and built a big house where we live and have services. We just recently started construction by faith on our church building. More then 50 people have been saved and 12 have been baptized. The average attendance is about 25 people. Our sending church is the Grand Vision Baptist Church in Bocoyna, Chihuahua.”
Missionary Carlos Madrigal
“We are thankful for the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its ministries. My wife, Belem, and I attended the Christian Schools here and we also graduated from the Bible Institute. We have worked here since 2001, serving in both the Christian School and in the Grand Vision Baptist Church. We currently teach in both the Christian Schools and the Bible Institute. In 2017 we surrendered our lives to take the Gospel to the people of Japan. We are now on deputation, visiting churches and raising our support. Please pray for us.”
