Of The Scriptures
We believe that the author of the Holy Bible is God Himself. Divinely inspired holy men of old wrote the Word protected from error by His Holy Spirit. The result being the complete and perfect will of God expressed in written form to mankind. Free of error, the Bible declares to man his sin, condemnation, and the full plan of redemption with Christ as its center.
We believe that there is only one true and living God; that He is infinite and eternal, the Supreme Ruler of heaven, and earth and creator of all that exists; that He is omniscient, omnipresent, and omnipotent; that He revealed himself to Israel by the name of Jehovah; that the unity of the Godhead expresses himself through the Holy Trinity of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit equal in holiness and perfection revealing himself to all mankind in love, mercy, and grace.
Of the Fall of Man
We believe that man was created in perfection and holiness in the image of God; that through voluntary transgression fell from that holy state to become a sinner by nature; that consequently sin passed upon all man; and that all are under the just condemnation of and held accountable to God without excuse or defense.
Of the Plan of Redemption
We believe that God has made provision for the redemption of man from his sin and condemnation; that the revelation of that plan of redemption is found in His Word: the basis of which is the substitutionary shed blood of God’s own Son; that redemption is freely offered to all mankind through the freeness of the gospel; that belief and acceptance of that substitutionary work of Jesus Christ are essential to salvation; that God saves the unworthy sinner wholly as an act of love, grace and mercy; and that the salvation that God imparts to the sinner is eternal, cannot be lost, and culminates in the salvation of the body in the day of the resurrection and rapture of the saints.
Of the Virgin Birth of Jesus
We believe that in the fullness of time God sent his son to be born among men; that Jesus was conceived by the virgin Mary through a divine act of the Holy Spirit of God; that He is the only begotten son of God; and that the fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him.
Of The Church
We believe that the church is local, visible, and is comprised of local believers scripturally baptized and united by covenant fellowship as one body, resolved to the keeping of Christ’s ordinances, doctrine, commissions, discipline, gifts, rights and privileges; that its government is congregation; that its authority is final; and that each local body should be autonomous.
Of His Ordinances
We believe that Christ gave to His church only two ordinances: baptism and the Lord’s Supper; that baptism is by immersion in water in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost with the prerequisite of salvation; that baptism depicts through obedience the believer’s death, burial and resurrection with Christ to a newness of life; that the Lord’s Supper should be taken only after self examination of the local body; and that the Lord’s Supper solemnly commemorates by the symbolic elements of unleavened bread and the fruit of the vine the death of Jesus Christ and His love for His church.
Of the Resurrection, Return of Christ, and Related Events
We believe that Christ is the first fruits from among the dead; that He died, was buried, and after three days and nights He arose from the tomb, showed himself to more than 500 witnesses, and ascended into heaven to sit at the right hand of God; that as He ascended into heaven so shall He come again in the clouds; that His return is eminent; that at His return both the sleeping and living saints shall be taken in a bodily resurrection; that the saints shall be judged by their works and receive their eternal rewards; that the remaining shall pass through seven years of tribulation; and that at the end of Christ’s millennium reign, which follows the tribulation, the wicked dead shall be raised unto judgment and eternal retribution, and the renovated heavens and earth shall be received into His care for eternity.
We believe that the Lord, before His ascension, commissioned the local church He had established to carry the good news of His salvation to every creature on the face of the earth; that this commission is to be carried out through prayer, going and giving; that it is His will that every nation, region, city, village, tribe, tongue, and individual hear that good news; and that we as the commissioned shall be directly responsible for its proclamation or retention.
