Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its missions in Northwest Mexico. We appreciate your faithful prayers and support that make it possible for us to take the Gospel to the Mexican people and to the various tribes in the region. You are a part of the work, and your rewards will be great!
I received the following report for the month of September from Pastor Jose Martinez, from our faithful workers and our missionaries.
September was missions emphasis month. The month ended with the conferences in the Grand Vision Baptist Church and in the missions. There were different preachers speaking each Sunday. Those attending were encouraged to give their Faith Promise offerings for the coming year. Seven people were saved in September in the church and in the missions.
Christian School Update
The eight high school students continue their studies in the Christian school, and they are doing well. The three students who were not saved accepted Christ last Sunday. Pray for their spiritual growth. Also continue praying for the three students that are studying in the Bible Institute.
Natahuachi and La Junta Mission
The people in the Natahuachi and La Junta Missions are faithful in attendance and witnessing. Pray for Adriel, Jackie, and their family as well as for Luis Carlos, Candi, and their family as they attend to these missions. Pray that souls will be saved, and that Christians will grow in the Lord.
September 26th was the special anniversary and organization service of the Panalachi mission. There were 17 initial members. The auditorium was filled with over 150 people present. Special music was presented by the choir of the Grand Vision Baptist Church in Bocoyna as well as other groups. Pastor Jose Martinez was the special speaker. Pray for Missionary Mario Zavala and Jose Corpus Nava, a Tarahumara Indian that Brother Mario is training to pastor the church. “The Lord hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.” Psalm 126:3.
We are thankful for God’s protection and His blessings upon us during these challenging and uncertain times. There are still many people to be reached with the Gospel, so we persevere in His name. The following is a list of our current prayer requests:
- Belem, the wife of Missionary Carlos Madrigal, is recuperating from a recent surgery. Pray for her full recovery. They are currently on deputation and will be heading to Japan soon.
- Pray for the pastors and their congregations here in Mexico. That God will protect them from organized crime and from COVID.
- For salvation of souls in the Grand Vision Baptist Church and missions.
We are deeply grateful to all of you that have stood behind us with your prayers and faithful support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.
Sincerely in Him,
Mrs. Joan Kahler
Missionary to Mexico
