Greetings and Happy New Year from Bocoyna, Chihuahua, Mexico. We trust that each of you is safe and sound and that the Lord is blessing you all abundantly.
We are thankful for the Lord’s many blessings upon us in 2020, and we are looking forward to serving Him in 2021. To God Be the Glory for all that was accomplished last year. We are thankful that we can still have church services in the Grand Vision Baptist Church and in our missions by observing the required restrictions. Most of all, we are thankful for the souls that were saved, for those that were baptized and for others that made important decisions for their lives. Thank you for your faithful prayers and support.
The Christmas programs were presented on December 20th. We had good attendance for each service. Many children and adults attended. Everyone enjoyed the special music, sermon and activities. Eight people were saved.
The Bible Institute will begin classes on the 11th of January. Continue to pray for the four students and for our teachers. God provided the funds for a delicious Christmas dinner and gifts for the students, teachers and their families.
The state of Chihuahua has not yet given the green light to open classrooms for in-person learning. As a result, our Christian School, along with the schools in the state, are closed until further notice.
We need your prayers in 2021, that God will lead, guide and direct in all matters. One thing we do know, “…the Lord, he it is that doth go before thee; he will be with thee, he will not fail thee neither forsake thee: fear not, neither be dismayed.” Deuteronomy 31:8.
The following is a list of our current prayer requests:
- Pray that God will provide financial support for the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its missions.
- Pray for our protection from COVID-19 and from organized crime.
- Pray for the salvation of souls and the spiritual growth of our new converts.
- Please continue to pray for my health.
We are deeply grateful to all of you that have stood behind us with your prayers and faithful support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.
Sincerely in Him,
Mrs. Joan Kahler
Missionary to Mexico
