November 2020

Published by The Kahlers on

Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church in Bocoyna, Chihuahua. The Gospel continues to be preached and taught. We are thankful Jesus is still Lord and controls all things. We have endured many difficulties this year, but all in all, it has taught us patience.

The states of Chihuahua and Durango are still in condition “RED”, which means they have very high levels of COVID-19 cases. Some churches are opened, and they are having services with the required restrictions.

Church Update

In the GVBC there are about 30 faithful people attending and they are faithful in their giving. Others still are fearful and remain home. Nine adults were saved in November and three were baptized – a man and his two daughters. We have been praying for them to be saved and baptized for many years.

Natahuachi Mission

The mission in Natahuachi celebrated its 5th anniversary on November 18th. We had good attendance and one person was saved. They continue to have services by following local guidelines.

Prayer Requests

We are thankful for God’s protection and His blessings upon us during these unusual and uncertain times. There are still many people to be reached with the Gospel, so we persevere in His name.

Thank You for your prayers for my health. I have had Cataract Surgery and am thankful that it was a success.

The following is a list of our current prayer requests:

  • For the salvation of souls in the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its missions.
  • For discipling classes of those who have been saved.
  • For classes in the Bible Institute where we have 4 young people studying.
  • For protection from the Coronavirus and other dangers.

We are deeply grateful to all of you that have stood behind us with your prayers and faithful support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.

Sincerely in Him,

Mrs. Joan Kahler
Missionary to Mexico
