Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church in Bocoyna, Chihuahua, Mexico. Thank you for your faithfulness in prayer and in financial support. You have played a part in every soul saved and in all the blessings we receive.
We realize these are difficult times for many people around the world and Mexico is no exception. We are now under the same shelter in place rules as most of you. In spite of all this, our church members, friends, and our missions continue to study the Bible, pray and witness. Eleven people were saved in the GVBC, and six in the mission in Natahuachi. Several people made decisions for baptism and we will be having a baptismal service as soon as the restrictions are lifted. Pray for the people of the church and missions that they will remain faithful.
Sister Natividad Heredia, one of our first graduates of the Bible Institute, was recognized for 50 years of service. Her husband, Brother Joaquin Rosas, is pastor of the Iglesia Bautista Trinidad in Tlaquepaque, Jalisco, Mexico.
The students of our Christian school and Bible Institute have returned home until April 30th. Like many of you, we are uncertain if we will be able to finish the school year.
We are thankful for God’s protection and His blessings upon us during these unusual and uncertain times. There are still many people to be reached with the Gospel, so we persevere in His name.
The following is a list of our current prayer requests:
- Pray that God will guide Pastor Martinez in the adjustments he is having to make in the Church and schools.
- Pray that we will be able to continue with the Christian Schools in September.
- A lot of our people are out of work. Pray that God will supply their financial needs.
- Pray for our youth camp scheduled for July, that we will be able to have it.
- Pray for security and protection especially in the regions of Bocoyna, San Juanito and Creel.
We are deeply grateful to all of you that have stood behind us with your prayers and faithful support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.
Sincerely in Him,
Mrs. Joan Kahler
