March 2018

Published by The Kahlers on

Greetings from the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its missions. We are grateful to the Lord for His mercy upon each of us. We trust you all had a great Easter.

CHURCH UPDATE

The Lord continues to bless the work here in Bocoyna, Mexico. During the month of March we had eleven people saved, and we had fourteen people baptized. Twelve of those baptized were students, and two were children from our church. We thank God for these wonderful results!

LADIES MEETING

We had 40 ladies in attendance during the last monthly ladies meeting. They are all eager to learn more about God’s word.

PANALACHI BAPTIST MISSION UPDATE

They held an evangelistic campaign in March. A young man, Pedro Nava, was saved. The mission had been praying for him a long time. Three people visited the mission for the first time. Brother Mario’s son, Isaias, is working with the young people at the mission. Some of the young people have been saved as a result of his efforts. Pray for the youth in Panalachi.

Continue praying for the community of Okorochi. Brother Mario and Angelica visit there once a month. They have to walk 4 to 5 hours through the mountains to reach the village. At the last meeting, 45 people came to hear the Word of God. Three women and three men received Christ as their savior.
Brother Mario and the members continue working on the construction of their church building. Pray that God will supply the funds for the needed materials.

NATAHUACHI MISSION UIPDATE

God is blessing the mission in Natahuachi greatly. Brother Eliezer Martinez is in charge of the mission. He recently organized Sunday school classes, church services on Sunday morning, Sunday evening, and Wednesday night prayer and Bible Study. They are thankful to God for supplying the windows and a front door for the church building. They still need funding to pay for the roof.

MY HEALTH

Please continue to pray for my health. I have not been feeling well lately. I am working with a couple of doctors who have run tests and provided me with medication. Pray that the medication will work and that I can get back to one hundred percent soon.

PRAYER REQUESTS

The following is a list of our current prayer requests:

  • Pray for the salvation of souls in the Grand Vision Baptist Church and its missions.
  • Pray for the new converts that they will be baptized and grow in the Lord.
  • Pray for Carlos and Belen, missionaries going to Japan. They have visited 60 churches here in Mexico on deputation. Pray that God will supply the funds that they need.

We deeply appreciate your faithful prayers and financial support. Please continue to keep God’s work here in Mexico in your prayers.

Sincerely in Him,

Mrs. Joan Kahler
Missionary to Mexico
